A Believer's Prayer.

Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, we come before you now first with thanksgiving and praise.

Thank you for your love and mercy and for your presence in us and all the things that you have done for us and given to us.

Father we thank you that we have been made more than conquerors as Kings and Priests, a Royal Priesthood. Thank you that we have been translated from the kingdom of darkness and placed in the kingdom of your dear son Jesus Christ.

Thank you that as your Royal Priesthood we can offer you prayers which are as incense to you; that special incense which alone was acceptable to be burned in your temple; which living temple we are today.

Thank you that we can offer general sacrifices to you of praise and good works and generosity to others. We also thank you that we can bring before you special offerings in worship. You tell us through David that the raising of our hands in worship is as the Evening Sacrifice. There is no Levitical priesthood today but we as your Royal Priesthood have the opportunity to bring you the equivalent of the Evening Sacrifice when we worship you, not out of duty, but because of our love for you.

Father as we do your will and present the gospel to those we meet, let Holy Spirit show them that accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour is a logical outcome when we understand that as sinners we deserve death as God's righteous judgement of our lives. Holy Spirit show them that we cannot live holy, righteous lives of ourselves to please God, but can only gain eternal life through accepting the perfect sacrifice of a Saviour who was sinless and died in our place. Impress on them that putting faith in Jesus is the only way, because He is the ONLY Saviour of the world. No religion out there or invented in our minds has the means to remove our sins, so we know that this plan comes from the True God and is the only one that can be trusted.

Thank you Jesus that you always answer our prayers and that we can depend on receiving all that we ask for in your name according to the will of God.

John 14:13-14 13 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

Thank you Father that Jesus not only bore our sins but was chastised for us to enjoy his peace and that by his stripes we are healed. Help us to put faith in Jesus, the ONLY Saviour of the world and our personal Saviour, for our physical healing, our mental well-being or peace, and for the forgiveness of our sins. ALL this is truly our 'shalom'.

Thank you Father God that you always answer our prayers and that we can depend on receiving all that we ask of you, when we come to you accompanied by Jesus and dependent on His authority.

John 14:23-24 In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

We pray Father for all who are facing trials at this time and come into agreement with them through our spirits for Satan's oppression to be removed from them. Help us also to eliminate unbelief and unforgiveness from our hearts so that our prayers will not be hindered.

Father God we thank that you have shown us through Jesus' life that it's always your will to heal and that as believers we have access to your Grace through Faith. Help us to believe and live according to your will as shown in your scriptures and not limit you by teaching and praying according to our experiences which have been stunted by our unbelief.

Father we thank you that you always answer our prayers and as the parables of the 'unjust judge' and the 'unhelpful friend' show, you (in contrast) always answer us speedily and generously. Help us Father to draw close to you in faith so that we can receive speedily also. Thank you for giving us the faith of Jesus and the blessing of answered prayer that He gave us and Matthew recorded for us.

Matthew 21:22 "And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

Father God we thank you for Your Love; for the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ; and for the Fellowship of Holy Spirit.

Thank you that you are such a GOOD GOD!

In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Attlee.
